Getting stuff done – creating positive growth - being of service

Born and raised in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

Although originally trained to study natural sciences and engineering, decided to study economic history and philosophy in Leiden and Paris. Worked at Leiden University for a short time during my studies but started as a Management Trainee at Heineken almost immediately after graduation. Fulfilled various commercial roles, general management abroad and HR roles. Decided to switch to the publishing world and the world of new media after about 17 years. Then became active for many years as an interim change manager. Took a Sabbatical in 2006 to learn more about sustainability, and especially about energy & water issues. Since 2007, focused on social and sustainable entrepreneurship, active in energy transition and food transition and working on water issues.

Became an ICF certified coach in 2017.

Since my early youth passionately involved with music, art, and literature.

Nowadays integrating the deep wisdom, and the beautiful lessons of such inspired writers and composers as Dante, Shakespeare, Goethe, Mozart, and Wagner into my professional practices.

Through my water projects met with the Mamos of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in Colombia. While working at different projects today, more and more focused to integrating their indigenous wisdom to create a more sustainable, fairer and better world.
